Opener trouble? We fix it, usually in one visit
When your opener stops working, the whole door becomes a hassle. It may hum but not lift, reverse before it closes, ignore the remote, or just go silent. Gateway Garage Doors repairs openers so you can get your car in and out and lock up your garage again.
We offer same-day service, and most repairs are completed in a single visit. Springs and openers are repaired with quality parts. The same technician who looks at your opener quotes the job and carries it out, so you are not passed between people.
Our pricing is upfront and flat-rate, so you know the price before we start. Financing is available if a bigger repair is more than you planned for.
Current offer: New Customer Discount, $50 off your first garage door repair or service call. This offer ends December 19, 2026.

Garage door opener repair questions
Why does my garage door reverse before it closes?
This is often a safety sensor problem. The two small sensors near the floor may be knocked out of alignment, blocked, or dirty. Check that nothing is in the way, wipe the lenses and see if both sensor lights are steady. If it still reverses, the limit settings or the door's balance may be off, and we can take a look.
My opener clicks or hums, but the door doesn't move. What's wrong?
A humming or clicking opener with a stuck door can point to a broken spring, a jammed door or a worn opener part. Don't keep pressing the button, since that can strain the motor. Call us and we will find out whether it's the opener or the door.
My opener light is blinking. What does that mean?
Blinking lights on LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie and other openers are usually error codes, often tied to the sensors or the wall control. The meaning depends on the model, so check your manual. If you can't solve it, we can diagnose it on site.
The door won't open, or it's stuck halfway. What should I do?
Keep people and cars clear of the door. Try the wall button and the remote, then check the sensors and the power. Don't force a stuck door, and don't try to fix the springs or cables yourself. Call us and we will come take a look.
Should I repair or replace my opener?
If the problem is a sensor, a remote, a gear or a setting, a repair usually makes sense. If the opener is failing in several ways or doesn't suit your needs, replacing it may be the better choice. We will go over both options and give you a flat-rate price either way.
Can you program my remote or keypad?
Yes. We program remotes and keypads for common opener brands, including LiftMaster, Chamberlain and Genie. We can do it during an opener repair visit.
Do you take emergency calls after hours?
Yes. Emergency garage door service is available after hours, so call us any time, including nights, weekends and holidays. Our regular hours are Monday to Thursday 7 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday 7 AM to 7 PM, and Saturday and Sunday 7 AM to 7:30 PM.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, credit and debit cards, checks, Zelle and Venmo. Financing is also available.
