Signs your garage door rollers are worn out
Rollers are the small wheels that carry your door up and down its tracks. They turn every time the door moves, so they wear out long before the rest of the door does.
Most people notice the problem by sound first. A door that grinds, rattles, squeaks or scrapes while it travels often has rollers that are dry, cracked or flat-spotted. Why is my garage door so loud?

Can I replace the rollers myself?
Some homeowners swap the rollers on the middle sections. The bottom rollers are attached to brackets under heavy spring tension and can be dangerous to remove. The spring and cable system should not be adjusted without training. If you are unsure, call us.
